About Arthur Guagliumi:

Arthur Guagliumi has lived and worked in Connecticut for the past forty years. He is a member of the National Art Education Association, Connecticut Art Education Association, New Haven Paint and Clay Club, The Silvermine Art Guild, Guilford Art League and the American Glass Guild. He has exhibited in Manhattan at the Aspects and Madison Gallery and in numerous venues in the New England area. His work is in the collections of the Mattatuck Museum and the Arthur Wesley Dow Art Archives at Columbia University.

Guagliumi is Professor of Art and Art Education at Southern Connecticut State University, where he teachers courses in art education, two dimensional design and stained glass fabrication. He received his Doctorate of Fine Arts from Teachers College, Columbia University.

In the last two years, Guagliumi exhibited his photo collages with the Shoreline Arts Alliance, Connecticut Watercolor Society, and won first prize at the Clinton Art Society for a mixed media relief. Many of his works are on display at the Nataz Restaurant in North Branford. He will be exhibiting his assemblages in Manhattan's Chelsea art district this coming month and at the New Haven's Zinc/Chow Restaurant in September. Arthur lives in North Branford where he and his wife, Susan, a well-known knitting and fiber designer, maintain working studios with two cats and a rambunctious dog.
