Past Educational Events Pen Art ...talk titled "Dot Right" by Tony Ruggiero Location: Mary Baldwin Room Cheshire Public Library 104 Main Street, Cheshire, CT. Event Date: Wednesday, July 9, 2008 ~ 7:00 to 8:45 PM About Tony Ruggiero: Tony is a well-known Cheshire artist and popular teacher at Artsplace. In a remarkable coincidence, he is having a show of his art in the Mary Baldwin Room and attendees will be able to view a large portion of his work in addition to listening to Tony speak about his background and style. He considers himself a pen artist, using stippling, a form of pointillism, as his main technique. He is equally comfortable portraying people as well as buildings, and has successfully marketed cards and posters featuring Cheshire landmarks. Tony will also demonstrate his use of dots to draw in a talk entitled "Dots Right." Please join us. We will also have some ink pens and paper on hand for those who may wish to try out this technique. |
