About Victor DeMasi:

The featured speaker this month is Victor DeMasi, owner of Monarch Painting, a decorative painting firm in Redding, CT. Victor DeMasi is 30-year owner of Monarch Painting, which specializes in faux finishes and tromp l'oeil. His murals feature natural history subjects such as native wild flowers and butterflies.

His work is residential with extensive experience in designing decorative paint schemes for customers and interior designers.
Mr. DeMasi's name appears on the referral list maintained by the Connecticut Historical Trust. He has done historical painting projects for Yale University, the National Park Service and the State of Washington. DeMasi is also known for his writing, teaching, and lecturing. His work has been featured in House & Garden, The New York Times, Yankee Magazine and Connecticut Magazine, to name a few. He has written numerous articles appearing in Fine Home Buildings and Fine Wood Working, and he is a major contributor to The Readers Digest Book of Tools & Skills, American Painting Contractor and Faux Finisher Magazine.

He conducts workshops at his own studio and also teaches regularly at the Brookfield Craft Center in Brookfield.
